If you own a home, you may be able to apply for a federal tax credit by buying an energy efficient HVAC system. The system(s) must be for your primary residence and the current tax credits are only available for the calendar year of 2011.  Aladdin Heating & Cooling can install the HVAC equipment required for you to receive a tax credit and provide you with the necessary certificate stating that your system meets or exceeds the required energy efficiency levels.

  1. Central Air Conditioning:   (up to $300 credit) Select either a Split System that has an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) > 13 and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) > 16; or a Package System that has an EER > 12 and a SEER > 14. You may need to replace your heating and cooling systems at the same time to qualify for the tax credit. We offer Energy Star systems by Lennox that meet the EPA’s guidelines for energy efficiency.
  2. Electric Heat Pumps:  (Up to $300 credit) Select either a Split System that has an Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) > 8.5, EER > 12.5, or a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) > 15; or a Package System that has an EER > 12 or a SEER > 14.
  3. Furnaces and Boilers: (up to $150 credit) Select a Natural Gas or Propane Furnace with an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) > 95; an Oil Furnace with an AFUE > 90; or a Gas, Propane, or Oil Hot Water Boiler with an AFUE > 90. We offer Energy Star systems by Lennox and Aire-Flo that meet the EPA’s guidelines for energy efficiency.
  4. Advanced Main Air Circulating Fan: (up to $50 credit) Choose a fan that utilizes no more than 2% of the furnace’s total energy use.
